About
AIKillsWhat.com is an independent data project tracking evidence around AI, automation, occupations and tasks. It exists because public discussion of AI and jobs repeatedly conflates four different things: what models can do, what tasks they can perform, whether anyone is actually using them, and whether employment or wages have changed. Those are separate questions with separate evidence.
Principles
What this project does
- • Separates capability, task automation, observed adoption and labour-market outcomes into distinct components.
- • Verifies every data point internally before publishing, with dates and confidence scores.
- • Publishes its methodology, weights and version numbers.
- • States uncertainty rather than filling gaps with speculation.
- • Stores counter-evidence and uses it to reduce scores.
- • Reports when data is delayed instead of pretending to be real-time.
What it is not
What it is not
- • Not a prediction of job losses. No employment forecast is published anywhere on this site.
- • Not a consultancy or vendor report. No company sponsors the index and no result is sold.
- • Not an aggregator that republishes articles. Only short internal summaries are stored.
- • Not a directory of raw feeds. Collection methods stay proprietary; what's public is the analysis.
Coverage
Current coverage
908 occupations, 14444 shared tasks, 34 AI models, 20 tools, 933 signals and 149 evidence items. Coverage grows as analysis runs; numbers are read from the database and are never inflated.
The name is deliberately provocative. The data presentation is deliberately careful. If you find an error in a rating or a task mapping, it will be corrected - write to [email protected]. Read the methodology before quoting any score.
